Why we created Endo Online

Jun 27, 2022

It all began with a conversation. One that had flavours of frustration and disappointment. Our patients were constantly asking “Why didn’t anybody else tell me this?” and “Why has it taken me so long to find you?”

We are Jess and Felicity – two physiotherapists and friends who started talking during the COVID-19 lockdown in New South Wales Australia, having recognized a big gap between Endo patients and their access to education and holistic management of their challenging symptoms. The lockdown caused all elective surgeries to be put on hold, meaning that many many people were left on waitlists for laparoscopic surgery. More often than not, they did not have any ongoing support to manage their symptoms in the interim. With surgery off the cards indefinitely, they were made to feel helpless. They just had to “wait” and use prescription hormonal or pain medication to get through each day. And those who were linked in with allied health professionals were having a hard time accessing their help.

We knew that this simply was not good enough, and found ourselves brainstorming what the needs of the Endo Community were, and how we could best serve the community with our skills in Pelvic Health Physio and Chronic Pain Management… and from there, Endo Online was created!

We wanted to create a community who would be supported and facilitated by passionate Physios. We wanted to offer insight into the parts of Endo management that are misunderstood or simply, not shared to the greater community. We wanted to take you step by step through mind and body techniques, from the comfort of home, wherever you are in the world with Endo. To help you buid your toolkit of strategies for managing your endo, your way.

We are here for YOU, so please join the community, get in touch, join the conversation on socials, and tell us what YOU need for support on this journey toward better days.

Thanks for joining us.
